Urban Education Project - Jersey Explorers Children’s Museum 501(c)(3)

The Urban Education Project (UEP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1984 to prepare youth for meaningful careers through hands-on training, academic support, and community service. Located at the Jersey Explorers Children’s Museum in East Orange, NJ, UEP operates immersive exhibits built by students for students and offers pre-apprenticeship programs, mentorship, and transitional support for young adults. Through partnerships with schools, government agencies, and workforce sponsors, UEP empowers students to explore their potential and build brighter futures.
